What types of vehicles do you rent?

We rent camperized 4×4 pick-ups, specifically Ford Ranger Raptors equipped with Decamp expedition cells. These are luxury, powerful vehicles prepared for tough terrain and fully equipped so you can travel and sleep with complete autonomy and safety.

What does the vehicle include?

Our campers include: a double bed (150 x 200 cm), portable kitchen with utensils, fridge, solar shower, solar panels, autonomous heating, auxiliary battery, interior lighting, table, chairs, first aid kit, and everything you need for your adventure. Also included is comprehensive insurance, 24/7 roadside assistance, and personalized support.

What is the minimum age and requirements to rent and drive?

You must be at least 25 years old and have held a category B driving license for 2 years to rent one of our vehicles. A copy of your driving license and ID card or passport must be provided before pick-up.

Non-EU citizens will need an international driving permit.

Is an additional driver allowed?

Yes, provided the premium insurance plan is contracted (€35/day – deposit reduction to €600). The additional driver must meet the same requirements as the primary driver and submit their documentation in advance.

Where can I travel with the vehicle?

You can freely travel within Spain. Also, throughout all countries in the European Economic Area, provided you notify Nomad Wildtracks BCN in advance so we can prepare the necessary documentation (this may incur an extra cost). Off-road use is allowed, but always with common sense and only on authorized tracks.

Can I drive off-road or on rural roads?

Yes, our vehicles are prepared for dirt roads and tracks, as long as they are not prohibited or protected areas. Driving in unauthorized areas is prohibited. These are not extreme trial vehicles.

The following are prohibited:

  • Using the camper for sporting events or commercial purposes
  • Smoking inside the vehicle
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Subleasing, towing, transporting hazardous materials

How do I make a reservation?

You can book directly through our website or contact us via email (info@nomadwildtracks.com) or WhatsApp (+34623008784). We recommend booking in advance, especially during high season, as the number of vehicles is limited.

The easiest way is to book directly on our website by selecting the dates and an available model. We’ll send you a confirmation by email. If you need help, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes, we require a deposit of €600 (with premium insurance at €35/day) or €3000 (with standard insurance), which is temporarily blocked on your card before the vehicle is handed over. It is automatically released upon returning the vehicle in the agreed condition (within 48 hours after return and inspection).

How is the reservation and full rental payment made?

To confirm your booking, you must pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount. Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard) or bank transfer.
The remaining amount (70%) must be paid 15 days before the trip. We will send you a link by email to complete the payment easily and securely.

If you book less than 15 days in advance, the full rental amount must be paid within 24 hours of confirmation. You will first need to pay 30% of the reservation, and then you will receive a link within 24 hours to pay the remaining 70%.

Can I add extras?

Yes. We offer optional accessories such as:

  • Chemical toilet
  • Bike rack
  • Bicycle rental
  • Additional tent (3 people)
  • Baby carrier backpack

What is not included in the rental?

Fuel, tolls, fines, and any traffic violations are the responsibility of the driver. The vehicle must be returned with a full tank and clean interior. Additional costs will apply in case of late return, damage, or loss of equipment.

What is the vehicle pickup process?

Pickup and return are free of charge at our facilities in Cabrils, near Barcelona, or at another agreed point in the Maresme area. We also offer pickup and drop-off at Barcelona and Girona airports. This service has a cost of €55 per trip. If you need delivery to another location, contact us and we’ll see if we can accommodate your request (additional fees may apply).

Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On the pickup day, we will meet at the agreed time and location. The process takes about 45 minutes and includes:

  • Review and signing of the rental contract.
  • Full explanation of how the vehicle and equipment work.
  • Vehicle inspection together with the client.

It’s important to arrive on time with your original driver’s license and ID/passport.

And what is the return process like?

The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date and time, at the same pickup location (unless otherwise agreed).

Return schedule: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Returns outside these hours: please ask us.

Exception: On Sundays, later returns are allowed so that weekend trips can be better enjoyed (schedule to be agreed between the parties).

The following will be checked:

  • The general condition of the vehicle (interior and exterior).
  • Fuel level (must be returned full).
  • Acceptable interior cleanliness.
  • Complete and undamaged equipment.

In case of late return, a charge of €50/hour applies. A 20-minute grace period is allowed.

If the interior cleanliness of the vehicle or cabin is deemed unacceptable, a cleaning fee of €100 will be charged.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your booking, the following timeframes and conditions apply:

  • Cancellations more than 30 days in advance: 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • Between 15 and 30 days before the rental start date: 50% refund of the amount paid.
  • Less than 15 days before the rental start date: No refund will be given. In cases of duly justified force majeure, we may consider offering a voucher or date change, depending on availability.

All cancellations must be requested in writing (by email or WhatsApp).

What happens if I have a problem during the trip?

All our vehicles are covered by comprehensive insurance, which includes 24-hour roadside assistance. In addition, we offer direct support via WhatsApp or phone in case you have any questions or emergencies during your trip.

Can I travel with pets?

Yes, our vehicles are suitable for well-behaved pets. It is necessary to inform us at the time of booking to provide some details and practical recommendations. There is an additional cleaning and disinfection fee of €100.

How many people can travel and sleep in the vehicle?

The vehicle is certified for 5 travel seats and has a double bed (150 x 200 cm). If you are traveling with children, please let us know in advance so we can arrange the child seats. An additional tent or solution can be included if more than two people are traveling (subject to availability and extra cost).

Is prior experience with campers or 4x4s necessary?

It is not essential, but it is recommended to have at least some experience driving large vehicles or camping before. We provide a comprehensive explanation on the day of delivery and a user guide with videos and tips to make everything easy and safe.

What if I have a breakdown or accident?

Call 900 181 735 (24h assistance) or contact us at +34 623 008 784 or admin@nomadwildtracks.com. In case of an accident, you must send us a report within 24 hours.

What does the insurance cover?

The standard insurance (with a €3000 deposit) is comprehensive coverage.

It does not cover:

  • Driving in unauthorized areas
  • Gross negligence

You can reduce the deductible to €600 by purchasing the Premium Coverage (€35/day), which also includes an additional driver.

Is there parking to leave my car?

Yes, you can leave your car parked in Cabrils – next to our offices – during your trip at no cost.

Do you offer routes or itineraries?

For now, we do not offer guided routes or fixed packages, but we do share ideas of inspiring areas and recommended places to explore on your own. If you’re unsure where to go and would like our help, we’ll be happy to assist (please let us know with enough notice) and according to your travel preferences, we’ll show you places you can discover.
